Starting from October 9 until December 31, 2023, a new round of driving restrictions based on the last digit of the license plate will be implemented in Beijing.

Last Digit-Based Driving Restrictions

Vehicles with license plates ending in

following numbers are prohibited on

public roads from 7:00 to 20:00.

Time	Last Digit
Monday	2 and 7
Tuesday	3 and 8
Wednesday	4 and 9
Thursday	5 and 0
Friday	1 and 6

The driving restrictions do not apply on weekends and statutory holidays.

  NOTICE

The restrictions will be imposed on all vehicles (including those with temporary license plates; except for EV cars) from 7:00 to 20:00 within the Fifth Ring Road in Beijing. Vehicles with license plate numbers ending in English letters will be subject to the same restrictions as those ending in numeral 0.
